The Runaway King: Book 2 of the Ascendance Trilogy (The Ascendance Triology)

The Runaway King - Jennifer A. Nielsen This was not nearly as good as [b:The False Prince|12432220|The False Prince (The Ascendance Trilogy, #1)|Jennifer A. This did not give me the same feeling. I felt that Jaron just kind of bumbled around and made a big mess that somehow cleaned itself up a little unrealistically by the end.
Jaron was missing his self confidence that he had in the first book as well. He just didn't seem like the same character. He was still mouthy but it just didn't feel the same to me.
It wasn't a bad book but not as engaging as the first one.
