Sybil Exposed: The Extraordinary Story Behind the Famous Multiple Personality Case
The story of Sybil is one I've known all my life. My mother is obsessed with her story. She read the book and has seen the movie dozens of times so it's always been there for me. This book took everything I thought I knew and flipped it on its head. I'm not sure what to believe. Obviously, no matter how you look at it, Shirley Mason/Sybil was a damaged woman. That is the real tragedy here. This woman's life is a sad tale, according to either book.
I found this book to be extremely interesting. I will be passing it on to my mother letting her make her own judgements.
