Fifth Grave Past the Light

Fifth Grave Past the Light - Darynda Jones So, here is the latest installment in the Charley Davidson series. I enjoyed this one, much more than the last. It was chock full of Charley's humor and sarcasm but it had more emotion, I think. Reyes and Charley's relationship was fleshed out more and seems to be going places. I only have a few complaints.
Charley's humor can be grating. There were times when she was being sarcastic and she didn't need to be. Granted, it didn't seem as bad as the fourth but that could just be the time since I read it.
Also, the ending felt rushed and lacking some of the details. I mean, she consumed the fire and snapped the man's neck. Where is the "Whoa, I can do that?! Reyes, how can I do that? What does it mean? What else can I do?" It just seemed odd.
Overall, though, I did like it. It was light and fluffy and a very quick read.
