The Good House

The Good House - Ann Leary, Mary Beth Hurt This was not quite what I was expecting, though I'm not sure what that was. It was good, though. I don't usually care for books/movies that deal with alcoholism in this way. (The constant falls back into drinking.) This, though, allowed me to really connect with Hildy. I thought it was really well handled. Though Hildy is in no way perfect, she felt very real. I got so frustrated with her treatment of Frank, though.
The sub plots felt a little odd and too spaced out. It seemed to kind of ramble off-topic of and then slowly meander back to it, almost as an after thought.
